High-speed feedback for demanding motion applications.
The GEL 2444 provides precise, high-speed rotary feedback for demanding motion applications, combining contactless sensing, flexible output options, robust construction and maintenance-free operation.
Key Features
📡Contactless Measurement
Magnetoresistive sensing delivers reliable speed and position feedback without mechanical contact or moving parts.
⚡Built for High Speed
Designed for demanding applications, with operating speeds of up to 70,000 rpm demonstrated in real-world applications.
🔌Flexible Signal Options
Available with TTL, RS422 or 1 Vpp SINCOS outputs to suit different control and drive systems.
🎯High Signal Quality
Low temperature drift and precise signal generation provide reliable feedback for high-performance motion control.
🔧Maintenance-Free Design
With no mechanical contact or integral bearings, the MiniCODER is inherently wear-free and requires minimal maintenance.
🛡️Robust Construction
A fully screened metal housing provides high immunity to electromagnetic interference, while the sensor achieves IP68 protection.
📈Configurable Resolution
Versions T and D support internal interpolation of up to 32×, allowing increased pulse resolution where required.
📊Intelligent Monitoring
The GEL 2444-D can record temperature data and a rotational-speed histogram, providing additional insight into operating conditions.
The GEL 2444 MiniCODERs are available in three variants, the GEL 2444-T sensor that generates a square wave output, the GEL 2444-K sensor that generates a sine wave output and the GEL 2444-D that generates square wave output and a rotational speed histogram. The output signals are generated from teeth on a ferro-magnetic tooth-wheel passing the sensing head. This measuring principle has found applications in machine tool spindles (including HSC high-speed-cutting spindles), electric motors, gearboxes and a wide range of other applications.
