The tower oscillation monitor GEL 3011 measures the acceleration in the X, Y and Z direction using MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical System) acceleration sensors.
If the measured values exceed the factory-set limits in the X/Y direction (horizontal plane), the sensor triggers a warning signal that is output to the safety system.
