The GEL 176/177 absolute linear scale are available in various configurations.

The GEL 176 linear scale is a ring type sensor with an external magnet. Four different magnets are available to fit any application.

The GEL 177 linear scale are available either with external magnet or in a slide version.

The slide version features a swivel joint for easy mounting, eliminating misalignment errors. Both models are using a magnetic sensing principle.

 

Six different outputs are available; 0...10V and 10...0V, 0...20mA, 4...20mA, 20...0mA, 20...4mA and SSI output. The Synchronous Serial Interface (SSI) features 25-bit Gray code - industry standard for digital outputs.

Designed for use in harsh environments, the GEL 176 features IP65 protection, the GEL 177 features IP67 protection. Measuring lengths from 50 up to 2000 mm is available in 50 mm increments.
